Gensol Engineering, a company in solar power engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, as well as the electric mobility sector, has emerged as the successful bidder for a major energy storage project. The company has secured the 250 MW/500 MWh standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS) project from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL), valued at Rs 1,340 crore.
This landmark project will deliver 250 MW/500 MWh energy for two charge/discharge cycles per day, significantly enhancing the energy storage capacity in the region. The development marks a crucial step in advancing the renewable energy infrastructure in India.
