Genesys International Corporation Ltd, a leader in geospatial technology in India, has successfully integrated DIGIPIN, the country’s standardized digital address system, into its nationwide 2D and 3D mapping infrastructure. This move strengthens its position in advancing India’s Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) by providing verified, geocoded addresses. The platform now encompasses over 400 million building footprints, 8.3 million kilometers of road networks, and 19,000+ PIN-code zones, converting static location data into a dynamic, interoperable address ecosystem.
Aligned with the Department of Posts’ DHRUVA (Digital Hub for Reference & Unique Virtual Address) framework, the platform facilitates real-time address generation, lookups, and visual verification. “We are creating a connection between mapped data and real-world service delivery,” said Sajid Malik, Chairman of Genesys. “Our solution enables smarter cities, quicker logistics, and more transparent governance.”
With DIGIPIN live on its national 2D maps and 3D Digital Twin pilots running in key cities, Genesys is helping build the address intelligence layer for India’s DPI. This approach complements Aadhaar for identity and UPI for payments. Genesys is enhancing traditional mapping by embedding DIGIPIN within its 3D Digital Twins, linking address data to city infrastructure, planning, and emergency systems. This transforms address data into actionable intelligence, offering deeper insights than conventional 2D maps.
Central to this framework is Genesys’ AI-powered 3D Digital Twin platform, connecting stakeholders to verified, real-world address data. The platform is built for scalability and interoperability, ensuring secure, role-based access for all governance entities, address information providers (AIPs), and users (AIUs). It also offers a unified interface for creating, validating, and using geocoded addresses across multiple systems.
This architecture supports various critical functions within the DIGIPIN/DHRUVA ecosystem, such as digital address creation, consent-based data sharing, cross-platform integration, and address-based service discovery. It also integrates legacy address systems, creating a cohesive ecosystem that brings together policy, infrastructure, and user-centric technology. Features like visual validation, geofencing, and digital address IDs (e.g., storename@digipin) further streamline address verification and integration across both government and consumer platforms. Collaborating with ministries, smart cities, and digital service providers, Genesys is advancing the scalability of India’s verified address infrastructure, ensuring greater inclusivity and accessibility across the nation.
