Genesys International Corporation has been awarded the Urban Digital Twin Map Platform project for Guwahati, marking the company’s first project in Assam and a key milestone in its expansion across India. With this deployment, Guwahati becomes part of a growing network of Indian cities adopting Genesys’ geospatially enabled Digital Twin platform to strengthen urban planning and governance. The platform integrates high-accuracy mapping, infrastructure datasets and civic asset information into a single digital environment, enabling city authorities to plan with greater precision, improve inter-department coordination and respond faster to operational requirements.

The Guwahati project follows Genesys’ continued momentum in Digital Twin-led city transformation initiatives across the country. It also builds on the company’s recent work in Varanasi, where the Varanasi Smart City initiative was recognised with the SKOCH Award for its implementation of Digital Twin-based urban governance.

Commenting on the development, Sajid Malik, Chairman & Managing Director, Genesys International Corporation, said, “The Guwahati Urban Digital Twin project is an important step in our journey of enabling data-led urban transformation across India. Cities today need integrated digital ecosystems that bring planning, infrastructure and governance onto one reliable spatial foundation. Our platform helps city administrations move from reactive management towards predictive and informed decision-making. This project also aligns strongly with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of a developed nation, where technology serves as a key driver of sustainable and inclusive urban growth.”

The project, valued at approximately ₹13 crore, is expected to support Guwahati’s shift towards a more connected and technology-driven approach to city planning and civic management. By enabling infrastructure and civic assets to be managed through shared digital environments, Genesys continues to contribute to practical, scalable urban transformation and the strengthening of India’s digital public infrastructure.

With the addition of Guwahati, Genesys further reinforces its role in India’s urban digital ecosystem, partnering with city administrations to create future-ready cities powered by geospatial intelligence and trusted data platforms.
