GE Vernova Inc. (NYSE: GEV) has extended its multi-year collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to include the delivery of its Asset Performance Management (APM) and CERius™ software through the AWS Cloud. This expanded Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) aims to support energy companies in managing asset and emissions data more effectively, fostering a more streamlined energy transition.

“With the energy landscape evolving rapidly, flexible cloud-based software is crucial,” said Scott Reese, CEO of GE Vernova’s Electrification Software division. “This expanded partnership with AWS demonstrates our dedication to providing digital solutions that boost reliability, reduce costs, and drive progress on energy transition targets.” GE Vernova has previously partnered with AWS to benefit utilities, manufacturers, and industrial enterprises.

GE Vernova’s APM, used by global companies like AES, has demonstrated its value as a SaaS solution with enhanced predictive analytics, real-time monitoring, and improved asset reliability. AES’s Sr. Reliability Engineer Michelle Legge notes, “The APM’s flexibility and scalability allow us to adapt to our needs while maintaining optimal performance. It has given us better asset visibility, which supports proactive maintenance and efficient decision-making.”

Key benefits of this expanded agreement for energy companies include:

  • Scalability and Flexibility: GE Vernova’s modular APM software adapts to growing operational needs, integrating AI and ML for smarter data management.
  • Support for Decarbonization Goals: CERius software streamlines greenhouse gas (GHG) data collection, delivering actionable insights for emission reductions.
  • Faster Sustainable Energy Integration: Real-time data, predictive analytics, and pre-built workflows drive faster onboarding of renewable energy assets.
  • Industry Expertise: Built on over 130 years of experience, GE Vernova’s software integrates deep operational and IT knowledge to address the evolving energy landscape.
  • Cloud Optimization: Cloud-based tools help maximize return on investment while reducing costs and enhancing performance.

Scott Sanderson, AWS Director of Business Development, Energy and Utilities, remarked, “Our collaboration with GE Vernova allows customers to innovate, lower their carbon footprint, and maintain financial strength.”
