GE Power India Ltd announced they received a contract worth ₹243.46 crore from NTPC GE Power Services Private Ltd (NGSL) on June 20. The contract is for updating and improving the LMZ Steam Turbines at Wanakbori Thermal Power Station Units 1 and 2, each having a capacity of 210 MW.
The goal is to make these units more efficient and extend their life. The project, which will take 33 months to complete, focuses on renovating and modernizing the steam turbines.
NGSL, a joint venture between GE Power India Ltd and NTPC Ltd, led the bid, and GE Power India Ltd will handle all the key supplies, including design, engineering, testing, and commissioning.
