G+D Achieves ENX VCS Certification

G+D

Giesecke+Devrient (G+D) has solidified its position as a leader in automotive cyber security by becoming one of the first companies globally to receive the ENX Vehicle Cyber Security (ENX VCS) certificate. This certification, awarded following a successful audit by TÜV NORD, underscores G+D’s role in addressing the sector’s growing information security challenges.

The automotive industry, grappling with digitalization, Industry 4.0, and the integration of connected vehicles, requires robust data protection. The ENX Association, based in Frankfurt and Paris, has developed the ENX VCS standard to facilitate secure collaboration across the automotive supply chain. This certification, a result of collaboration with automotive experts, establishes a benchmark for vehicle cyber security, focusing on electrical and electronic components along the value chain.

G+D’s successful certification demonstrates compliance with international standards such as ISO/SAE 21434 and ISO/PAS 5112, proving its effective implementation of a Cyber Security Management System (CSMS) and standardized risk management procedures. Jan Eichholz, Head of Connectivity & IoT Security at G+D, emphasized the importance of such certifications in meeting stringent regulatory requirements and reinforcing the company’s commitment to security in the automotive sector.
