Garuda Aerospace Ltd has been awarded a contract by Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL) to set up and operate a Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA)-approved Remote Pilot Training Organization (RPTO) in Jaipur. The initiative marks a significant step in expanding India’s drone training infrastructure and building a skilled workforce for emerging aerial technologies.

The training centre will operate under a long-term authorization valid through 2036 and will focus on preparing certified drone pilots for small-category RotorCraft operations. The program will include both daytime and nighttime Visual Line of Sight (VLOS) missions, ensuring comprehensive training aligned with regulatory standards.

Ground training sessions will be conducted at REIL’s Mansarovar campus, while flight operations will take place at Arya College of Engineering and IT in Kukas. The facility is expected to serve a wide range of participants, including students, professionals and organizations across industrial, agricultural and public sectors.

Garuda Aerospace will manage the complete setup and operation of the centre, including infrastructure development, deployment of approved drone systems and delivery of structured training programs. The curriculum is designed to meet DGCA requirements and equip participants with practical skills needed for real-world applications.

The partnership builds on Garuda Aerospace’s experience in drone training, having already certified thousands of remote pilots across the country. The company has been involved in multiple government-led initiatives aimed at promoting drone adoption in agriculture, infrastructure and public services.

The new centre in Jaipur is expected to contribute to the growing demand for skilled drone operators as India continues to integrate unmanned aerial systems into various sectors. With increasing use of drones in precision agriculture, surveillance, logistics and industrial inspection, the need for certified professionals is rising rapidly.

This collaboration also supports national efforts to strengthen indigenous capabilities in drone technology and skill development. By expanding access to structured training programs, the initiative aims to create employment opportunities and support innovation in the drone ecosystem.

Garuda Aerospace  has quickly established itself as one of the fastest-growing drone technology companies globally. With thousands of drones deployed, a significant share of the agricultural drone market in India, and a large client base spanning governments and enterprises, the company continues to invest in new technologies and international expansion.
