Garuda Aerospace has set an ambitious target to sell 50,000 drones in the coming years, comprising 25,000 agricultural drones and 25,000 consumer drones. This announcement comes as the company received approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for the manufacturing of small and medium drones.
In a statement released on Tuesday, CEO Agnishwar Jayaprakash highlighted the company’s milestones and future plans. “We pride ourselves on the impactful intelligence our drone solutions have to offer. We have 750+ satisfied clients across India, with 350 completed projects and 50 designed works. Our team includes over 200 employees, advisory board members, department heads, and skilled pilots,” said Jayaprakash.
To date, Garuda Aerospace has sold 2,500 drones, of which 2,000 are agricultural drones. “We plan to sell 25,000 agri-drones in the next two years and at least 25,000 other consumer drones in the next few years. We are happy to announce India’s first exclusive drone showroom in Chennai,” added Jayaprakash.
The company’s expansion is poised to significantly impact the Indian drone market, particularly in the agriculture sector, where drones are increasingly used for tasks such as crop monitoring, spraying pesticides, and optimizing resource use. The introduction of the exclusive drone showroom in Chennai is expected to boost consumer access and engagement with drone technology.
Garuda Aerospace’s continued growth and innovation are supported by its robust client base and project portfolio, reflecting the effectiveness and reliability of its drone solutions. The company’s focus on expanding its reach and capabilities underscores its commitment to advancing drone technology in India and beyond.
