Post the pandemic, one of the industry’s top B2B shows for garment and textile production made an excellent comeback with its first hybrid edition. Gartex Texprocess India, along with Screen Print India, catered to the needs of exhibitors involved in garment and textile manufacturing from the 3rd to the 5th of December 2021 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
Following the pandemic’s difficult phase, India’s clothing and textile manufacturing industry found expanding industry demands. Gartex Texprocess India, the leading B2B platform on garment and textile machines, textiles, accessories, and allied sectors, returned with a brand new edition this month with the goal of assisting local businesses on the road to recovery. The trade show, which was organised by Messe Frankfurt India and MEX Exhibitions Pvt Ltd, took all necessary preparations considering the pandemic safety precautions.

Government programmes and efforts, according to a forecast by ratings agency Infomerics Valuation and Rating, will propel the textile sector to a growth of USD 300 billion by 2025-26, and a 300 percent increase in the next two years. Gartex Texprocess India established a powerful business atmosphere where businesses witnessed the industry’s latest developments, participated in hardcore networking, and discovered lucrative chances for their own enterprises, as it is designed as a dedicated platform for buyers and sellers.
Buyers witnessed live product demos of the most cutting-edge machines and solutions provided by the sellers’ network of industry leaders. The show ran for three days, with over 100 brands on the showfloor, including AURA, Baba Machines, ColorJet India Ltd, Ramsons Garment Finishing Equipments Pvt Ltd, Jaysynth Dyestuff (India) Limited, and Morgan Tecnica, among others, exhibiting their innumerable business opportunities and boundless knowledge.
The Denim Show and Screen Print India along with Digitex, India Laundry, Fabrics & Trims, Screen Print India, Garmenting & Apparel Machinery, and Embroidery Solutions were co-located with the show. These integrated exhibitions and specific segments gave weight to the broad areas embracing the entire spectrum of garment and textile manufacturing solutions for the industry.
Industry biggies being part of the Denim Show

The Denim Show, a prominent attraction at Gartex Texprocess India, showcased some of the most cutting-edge denim trends and innovations. The Denim Show was able to provide a strong professional platform for the denim fraternity to witness the development of original products and an innovative range of denim solutions, fabrics, finishes, and technology showcased by industry’s leading manufacturers such as Creora, Arvind Ltd., Raymond UCO Denim Pvt Ltd, Reliance Industries Ltd, Ginni International, Jindal Worldwide Ltd, and others.
A special trend area for experiencing new denim goods curated by the industry, as well as an artistic showcase of “The Denim Pocket Story,” which recreated historic denim pockets and their metamorphosis over time, were among the highlights. Padma Raj Keshri, an Indigo Enthusiast who works with waste fabric and is primarily involved in the factory-level post-production of waste denim pieces, has put together the trend area. Each pocket is handcrafted, and the fabric and collections were exclusively picked from Indian Denim mills for this sustainable endeavour.

“I am absolutely glad that we returned with the Gartex Texprocess India physical exhibition 2021”, said Gaurav Juneja, Director, MEX Exhibitions India Pvt Ltd. In the aftermath of a pandemic, it was difficult for the industry to keep up with demand and supply. "We are glad to state that Gartex Texprocess India helped to bring the fragmented garment and textile manufacturing industry together. It was a wonderful outcome by bringing new ways of networking through this expo”, added Gaurav Juneja.
"India has a clear opportunity to fill this demand gap and grow its market share in the global apparel and textile industry. However, in order for this to happen, India’s indigenous firms must be supported and given the necessary growth stimulus, hence strengthening the value chain naturally. Gartex Texprocess India seeks to build a focused business platform for the garment and textile industries to collaborate and enhance the domestic manufacturing set-up in support of this purpose", said Raj Manek, Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt India.
The Digital Symposium of Gartex Texprocess India not only exchanged ideas but also showcased the latest trends and advances in the sector. Experts from the industry discussed a variety of issues, including ‘Finding a Solution to Sustainable Garment Manufacturing,’ ‘Carbon Neutrality in the Denim Industry,’ and ‘Natural materials for textile coloration,’ among others during the three-day event.
