Gabriel India Ltd has entered into a Technical Assistance Agreement with TracTive Suspension BV, a Netherlands-based leader in suspension technology, to strengthen its automotive suspension offerings. The agreement, signed on February 21, 2025, grants Gabriel India exclusive rights to manufacture, sell, and distribute TracTive’s proprietary suspension adjustment technologies in the Indian market.
This collaboration is designed to enhance Gabriel India’s suspension products by incorporating advanced application engineering and enabling localized manufacturing. TracTive will support the partnership by providing technical expertise, knowledge transfer, and training programs for Gabriel India’s team.
The agreement includes a compensation structure based on lump sum fees and royalty payments from Gabriel India to TracTive. With an annual turnover of INR 34,220 million in FY 2023-24, Gabriel India stands to benefit significantly from TracTive’s expertise. TracTive, which generated a turnover of 8.0 million euros in FY 2023-24, brings its cutting-edge suspension adjustment technology to the table.
The companies clarified that the agreement is not a related-party transaction, and no promoter or group companies have any vested interest in the involved entities. Founded in 1961, Gabriel India is a leading automotive component manufacturer specializing in ride control products such as shock absorbers, struts, and front forks for a range of vehicles, including automobiles, commercial vehicles, and two-wheelers. As part of the Anand Group, Gabriel operates several manufacturing facilities across India, serving major automakers like Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, and Hero MotoCorp.
TracTive, established in 2010, is known for its pioneering work in electronically adjustable suspension systems. The company has developed patented technologies for semi-active and active suspension solutions, catering to high-performance vehicles, motorcycles, and other specialized automotive applications.
