Freudenberg Gala Household Products (FGHP) has expanded its production and office facilities in Adas, Gujarat, reinforcing its ability to meet the rising demand for household cleaning solutions in India and international markets. The newly expanded production area, covering 3,086 square meters, will manufacture spin mop floor cleaning products under the Gala brand, India’s leading cleaning brand, along with foot pedals for cleaning products sold in the United States. With this expansion, FGHP increases its production capacity by over one million spin mops and five million foot pedals, complementing its existing annual output of 20 million brooms and brushes.
Jatin Gala, General Manager, FGHP India, stated, “This expansion significantly enhances our production capacity and efficiency, optimizing workflows to meet the growing domestic demand for spin mops while strengthening our role as an innovation and productivity hub within FHCS by supplying foot pedals for O-Cedar products in the US.”
Karin Overbeck, CEO of Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions (FHCS), emphasized, “Our partnership with FGHP has delivered remarkable growth, increasing net sales tenfold in just over a decade. This investment in the Adas facility further strengthens our strategic position in India and reinforces Gala’s market leadership.”
The new production facility is equipped with 21 molding machines, two assembly lines for spin mops, and five state-of-the-art manufacturing lines for foot pedals. The site maintains its ISO-14001 and ISO-45001 certifications, ensuring compliance with the highest quality and sustainability standards. Additionally, a newly constructed three-story office building will provide a modern and collaborative workspace for the local team.
Freudenberg Gala Household Products Pvt. Ltd. was established in 2009 as a joint venture between Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions and Mumbai-based Gala Brush. Since the establishment of the Adas production site in 2011, it has become a key driver of FGHP’s success, contributing to 35% of the company’s total turnover.
