Vietnam-based technology firm FPT has strengthened its collaboration with Airbus by signing a multi-year Master Supply Agreement (MSA), officially becoming a Global Strategic IT Partner to the European aerospace giant. The agreement was formalized at the Vietnam–France Business Forum in Paris, witnessed by Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh during his official visit to France.

This agreement represents a major step forward in the relationship between the two companies, placing FPT among Airbus’ key global IT service providers. Under the new arrangement, FPT will be involved in a wide range of international projects, including customer service systems, data analytics, and cloud-based software development.

The partnership builds on more than a decade of joint work. In 2017, FPT was one of the early contributors to Airbus’ Skywise platform in the Asia-Pacific region. Skywise serves as a central hub for aviation data, enabling airlines to streamline operations and access customized training solutions. By 2023, Airbus had narrowed its list of preferred IT partners, with FPT retaining its place among a select group of trusted firms.

“FPT has consistently worked to build bridges between Vietnamese companies and major European players, especially in technology,” said Chu ThiThanh Ha, Chairwoman of FPT Software. “Our continued work with Airbus reflects our commitment to advancing digital innovation in aviation and beyond.”

Wouter Van Wersch, Executive Vice President of International at Airbus, also welcomed the development. “This agreement signals our deepening partnership with FPT and acknowledges the company’s technical capabilities and consistent performance,” he said.

FPT has built a strong reputation as a technology partner within the aviation industry, collaborating with more than 100 organizations worldwide—including airlines, cargo services, airports, and aircraft manufacturers across Europe, North America, and the Asia-Pacific region. The company has also joined hands with the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to explore new aviation technologies.

In France, FPT has expanded its local presence through the acquisition of IT consulting firm AOSIS in 2023, improving its delivery capacity in the region. The company also launched the FPT Francophone Association to foster a pipeline of French-speaking talent for its operations. FPT was the only Vietnamese business invited to this year’s Choose France Summit and played an active role in the first Vietnam–France Leaders Forum held in Hanoi, underlining its commitment to fostering strong international business ties.

FPT is a leading global provider of IT services and technology solutions, headquartered in Vietnam. The company operates in three primary sectors: Technology, Telecommunications, and Education. With more than 30 years of experience, FPT has delivered solutions to millions of users and tens of thousands of organizations around the world. The company focuses on five strategic areas: Artificial Intelligence, Automotive, Semiconductors, Digital Transformation, and Green Technology. As of 2024, FPT reported annual revenues of USD 2.47 billion and employs over 54,000 staff worldwide.
