At the Metstrade Show in Amsterdam (November 19-21, 2019), FPT Industrial displayed two novel engines, the C16 600 and the N67 450 N, which can add to the advantages of the marine lineup.
The C16 600 is for heavy commercial missions, such as workboats, trawlers, tugboats, ferries, and cargo ships. It has a displacement of 16 liters but has the compactness and lightness of a 13-liter engine. It displays low operational expenses and excellent performance. Its maximum power is 600 HP and torque is 2,680 Nm. This results in enhanced cruising and more speed for vary operating situations and more torque at low speed. This engine has more resistance to heavy-duty conditions, improved life cycle, increased strength, and more reliability and durability. The engine has acquired the top position in terms of low operational and maintenance expenses, fuel consumption, and maintenance. There is a maximum reduction of noise and vibration with a low environmental impact.
The engine is an evolution of FPT’s marine NEF family. Its power is 450 HP at 3,000 rpm and torque is 1,305 Nm at 1,800 rpm. It boasts of high speed, low operating expenses, and best low-end torque.
The N67 450N is for pleasure and light commercial applications for yachts and cruisers with a length of 12 meters and varied missions such as light fishing, rescue, pilot, military and state bodies, and passenger transport. It ensures a low environmental impact, more durability, and better stability in cold areas. The engine meets the latest and most stringent international emission rules. In Europe, this engine has the version N67 170, which complies with the stringent regulations of Inland Waterway Vessels (IWV) Stage V.
At the MetStrade Show, Red Horizon was exhibited in a new and more compact version at the Naviop stand (02.518). This is FPT Industrial’s premium integrated marine control system.
