FPT, a global tech company based in Vietnam, has formed a new partnership with ANA Systems, the technology arm of Japan’s largest airline group, ANA. The two companies will work together to improve digital systems and services across the aviation sector. The agreement was signed during FPT’s annual tech conference in Danang.
As part of the deal, FPT and ANA Systems will build a shared system to better manage IT operations across the ANA Group. This includes support for All Nippon Airways, Japan’s top-rated airline for more than a decade. The goal is to make IT services more stable, efficient, and scalable across the group.
The partnership will also support talent development between Vietnam and Japan. The two companies plan to launch training programs and joint projects to help grow the next generation of tech professionals. This talent exchange builds on the strong ties between the two countries.
“Our global experience with airlines, combined with a strong team and AI expertise, makes us excited to grow our work with ANA Systems,” said Chu Thi Thanh Ha, Chairwoman of FPT Software. “This partnership will blend technology and talent from both sides to drive real progress.”
Masashi Ohya, President of ANA Systems, added: “We’ve worked closely with FPT since 2021 on digital transformation. Now we’re moving forward with new joint labs, research projects, and programs to develop skilled workers. This will help our companies grow and also deepen Japan–Vietnam ties.”
FPT has been operating in Japan for nearly 20 years and is now one of the largest foreign tech firms in the country. The company has 4,500 staff across 17 locations in Japan, plus 15,000 engineers working remotely. FPT served 450 global clients in 2024 and brought in over $500 million in revenue from Japan alone. It aims to double that to $1 billion by 2027 and join the ranks of Japan’s top 15 tech companies.
The signing happened during FPT’s “Danang – 20 Years of Innovation” event, which brought together over 400 guests, including leaders from Microsoft, IDC, and SAP. The event focused on AI, global tech trends, and Vietnam’s growing role in digital innovation.
FPT is a leading technology group from Vietnam, operating in tech, telecom, and education. With more than 30 years of experience, it delivers digital solutions to clients around the world. In 2024, FPT earned $2.47 billion in revenue and employed over 54,000 people.
ANA Systems is the IT company of ANA Group. It builds and manages airline systems, supports airport tech operations, and leads digital projects for the group’s businesses across Japan. The company plays a key role in supporting the airline’s daily operations and long-term growth.
