Fortem Technologies, a global leader in counter-drone and airspace defense solutions, has been named among the first companies accepted into the US Army’s newly launched Global Tactical Edge Acquisition Directorate (G-TEAD) Marketplace. This modernized acquisition channel is designed to move advanced technologies into the hands of frontline units at unprecedented speed, significantly reducing the time required for military organizations to procure Fortem’s counter-UAS systems.

Through the G-TEAD agreement, Army units and other eligible US government entities with procurement authority can now quickly order Fortem equipment directly from the Marketplace without additional competitive processes. Depending on the jurisdiction and security arrangements, ordering options may also extend to NATO partners and allied agencies.

“This marks a major shift for the operators who rely on our systems and for the broader mission of protecting lives,” said Jon Gruen, CEO of Fortem Technologies. “The Army has created a forward-leaning approach to getting essential capabilities to the field, and we are proud to be among its earliest selections. G-TEAD enables commanders to obtain battle-tested systems like DroneHunter® and SkyDome® in a matter of weeks instead of years — which is exactly the pace required to counter emerging aerial threats.”

G-TEAD is a central element of the Army’s large-scale overhaul of its acquisition processes, emphasizing faster field-driven decisions, rapid evaluation cycles, and quick expansion into production under authorities such as 10 U.S.C. § 4022(f). Fortem’s acceptance reflects the Army’s determination that the company’s autonomous counter-drone technologies have undergone thorough review and meet the criteria necessary for scalable deployment. Fortem will collaborate closely with Army Contracting Command, capability development teams, and forward-deployed units as the G-TEAD structure continues to grow across operational regions and mission profiles.

Fortem Technologies is a leading provider of airspace defense systems, offering advanced tools designed to counter today’s autonomous drone threats while supporting the safe evolution of next-generation air mobility. The company’s SkyDome® Family of Systems integrates TrueView™ radar and sensors, command-and-control software, and autonomous DroneHunter® interceptors to safeguard military, government, and commercial operations worldwide.

Fortem is the only organization authorized to operate a drone-on-drone kinetic interceptor within U.S. airspace, and its technology has been proven in active deployments across Ukraine, the Middle East, and East Asia. Based in Lindon, Utah, Fortem is privately held with investment backing from Lockheed Martin, DCVC, Toshiba, AE Industrial Partners, AIM13, Signia Venture Partners, and others.
