100 Years of the World of Motion at Bairamangalam: Festo Inaugurates New Manufacturing Facility in Hosur

Festo, a global leader in automation technology and technical education, proudly commemorates its centenary with the inauguration of a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Bairamangalam, Hosur, Tamil Nadu. This milestone shows Festo‘s century-long commitment to innovation, excellence, and sustainable development in industrial automation and education.

The new facility represents a significant strategic investment of approximately ₹500 crores. It spans over 75 acres of developed industrial land to serve domestic and global markets with high-precision automation solutions. Designed to strengthen Festo’s manufacturing capabilities in India, the plant will initially generate more than 1,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities, with plans to scale operations and the workforce in the coming years. Equipped with cutting-edge technology and built to international standards, the new plant will focus on producing advanced pneumatic automation components.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries from the Government of Tamil Nadu, industry leaders, Members of the Supervisory board of Festo, the Chairman of the Management Board Thomas Böck, the Member of Management Board Research and Development Dr Ansgar Kriwet, the Member of Management Board Operations Dr Jaroslav Patka and members of the owner family Festo. Key attendees included Dr P Alarmelmangai, IAS – Guidance, Tamil Nadu, Achim Burkart, Consul General of Germany and Festo India Managing Directors- Rashmikant Joshi & Ravi Sastry.
