Fermenta Biotech Limited (FBL), a leading Indian manufacturer of APIs, intermediates, and nutritional premixes for global markets, has announced Board approval for the transfer of its Environmental Solutions business to its wholly owned subsidiary, Fermenta Environment Solutions Private Limited (FESPL). The transaction, to be executed on a slump sale basis and effective 1 October 2025, is aimed at sharpening focus on core business operations while enabling the subsidiary to scale and innovate in the environmental solutions space.
Following the transfer, FESPL will continue to develop, manufacture, and deliver a comprehensive range of environmental technologies and services. Its portfolio includes solid waste management, wastewater treatment, lake and pond bioremediation, fly ash handling, ground and soil remediation, oil sludge treatment, and air pollution control. The subsidiary will also design, install, and operate sewage, water, and effluent treatment plants (STPs, WTPs, and ETPs), independently or through strategic collaborations, offering end-to-end solutions to industry and municipalities.
