India’s leap into world-class sports footwear manufacturing has just got boosted with the China-based Footwear Design, Development and Manufacturing Company Evertrade steadily progressing with its proposed plan to set up what is going to become the first-of-its-kind world-class sports and lifestyle footwear in India by technology transfer from China to India. Owned by Indian entrepreneur Niren Anand, Evertrade, has its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Xiamen in China and exports footwear to global brands.
Evertrade will develop the new facility at Bhubaneswar to cater to the global sportswear brands as well as Indian brands. This facility is expected to bring India’s manufacturing excellence in sport and lifestyle footwear to a global scale.

“The site for the project is undergoing cleaning levelling and we expect to start the foundation of the project very soon. It is a really a privilege for Evertrade team to be part of India’s manufacturing excellence”, Niren Anand, Founder, Evertrade Group said. The China-based Niren already established an operations office at Bhubaneshwar to oversee the developments, and the foundation stone of the proposed factory is expected to be laid virtually by the Chief Minister of Odisha by end of this month.
Evertrade entered into an agreement with the government of Odisha during the ‘Invest in Odisha’ event organised at Guangzhou, China in 2019. The event was aimed at attracting Chinese investors to explore investment opportunities in Odisha. Evertrade’s investment plan in India has also been facilitated by the ‘Make in India’ programme under the aegis of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The cleaning and levelling of the 10-acre land offered to Evertrade is in progress and the company plans to lay the foundation for the project soon.
