EVERTA has launched its electric vehicle (EV) charger manufacturing operations in India, with a new production facility in Bengaluru set to begin operations in the third quarter of 2025. The company aims to manufacture 3,000 DC fast chargers annually by 2027 and is targeting a 15% share of India’s DC charging market by the end of the decade.

The facility will produce chargers ranging from 60kW to over 320kW, designed to serve a wide range of electric vehicles, including three-wheelers, passenger cars, buses, and heavy-duty trucks. EVERTA is initially aiming for over 50% domestic value addition, with a roadmap to achieve full localization in the future. This initiative is aligned with national programs such as Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat, and is expected to generate between 400 and 450 direct and indirect jobs across production, deployment, and service functions.

EVERTA has entered into a Technology Licensing Agreement with StarCharge, a global company with over 2 million charger deployments in 60 countries, to manufacture and maintain DC fast chargers tailored for Indian conditions. Company representatives said that meeting their 15% market share goal would support infrastructure for approximately 4 million electric vehicles, contributing significantly to India’s target of 30% EV adoption in new vehicle sales.

Managing Director Benny Parihar highlighted the company’s focus on delivering solutions suited to Indian usage patterns, while CEO Manasvi Sharma emphasized a strong service orientation, with particular attention to charger uptime and customer support.

As India accelerates its transition to electric mobility, the need for reliable and fast charging infrastructure is growing. The government has introduced several policy measures and incentives to support EV adoption, particularly in commercial transport. EVERTA’s entry into the domestic manufacturing landscape aims to support this growth by offering high-performance, locally produced DC charging solutions critical for long-distance travel and high-usage fleets.
