Everest Instruments, a trailblazer in innovative dairy and food testing solutions, has introduced three groundbreaking products. Among these, the maiden FTIR-based Milk Analyser in India stands out. The YAMA milk analyser, a pioneering Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy device designed in India, promises swift and precise raw milk composition analysis.
Everest Instruments is a pioneering name in the dairy industry, known for its innovative solutions that revolutionize milk quality assessment and food safety. With a legacy spanning 25 years, Everest Instruments has garnered trust for its commitment to excellence. The company’s groundbreaking products, such as the Somatic Cell Analyzer, are designed to meet the evolving needs of the dairy sector.
The YAMA milk analyser can swiftly determine milk fat, SNF, and protein levels, as well as identify common adulterants, all within a mere 30 seconds. This analyser is poised to transform village-level milk collection and bulk milk chilling centers, thanks to its affordability and efficiency. Moreover, it is expected to usher in a new era of import substitution, as most existing instruments are currently imported.
The second innovative offering is the Gas Chromatography for Milk Fat Fatty Acids and Triglycerides (Everest GC4500), which provides comprehensive profiling of fatty acids and triglycerides, essential for understanding the quality of milk, milk products, and ghee. While currently separate Gas Chromatography machines are employed for fatty acid and triglyceride analysis, Everest Instruments has developed a machine that enables analysis of both, thereby reducing expenditure on machines, accessories, installation, and spares.
These products were unveiled by Meenesh Shah, Chairman of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), at the 50th Dairy Industry Conference in Hyderabad, marking a significant milestone in the dairy industry’s technological advancement. Ajit Patel, serving as both Chairman and Managing Director of Everest Instruments, expressed strong confidence in the transformative potential of their latest innovations for the dairy sector, not only within India but on a global scale.

He expressed gratitude to customers for their steadfast trust over the past quarter-century and reiterated the company’s commitment to ongoing innovation to ensure the availability of top-tier dairy products.
One of the groundbreaking products unveiled by Everest Instruments is the Somatic Cell Analyzer, a state-of-the-art solution designed for the detection and enumeration of somatic cells in raw milk. This technology serves as a crucial indicator of milk quality and udder health in animals. The product features a fully automated somatic cell counter, complete with fluorescence optics and image analysis software, enabling precise assessment of raw milk quality.
This innovation is expected to set new standards in dairy production and is poised to become a preferred choice for research, dairy farms, the dairy industry, and veterinary institutes. The launch of these cutting-edge solutions underscores Everest Instruments’ dedication to advancing the dairy industry through the application of technology and stringent quality assurance measures.
