Euler Motors, a manufacturer of commercial electric vehicles, has announced its entry into the small commercial vehicle (SCV) market with a new 4-wheeler that boasts a payload capacity exceeding 1000 kg. The launch is slated for the upcoming festive season.
This new SCV is designed to meet the growing demand for efficient and high-performing transportation solutions for both inter-city and intra-city routes. Following the success of its 3-wheeler HiLoad EV, Euler Motors’ latest offering is expected to feature advancements aimed at enhancing its competitiveness in the SCV sector.
The vehicle is anticipated to deliver an extended driving range, substantial payload capacity, ergonomic design for better driver comfort, and advanced real-time fleet management features. These attributes are particularly crucial for industries such as logistics, FMCG, beverages, dairy, paint, and lubricants, which rely heavily on the SCV segment.
India’s SCV market is projected to reach Rs 34,900 crore by FY2027, with internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles currently dominating the space. However, the electric vehicle (EV) segment, while still small, is expected to grow rapidly as EVs begin to offer cost savings and approach price parity with traditional fuel vehicles, according to industry officials.
Saurav Kumar, Founder and CEO of Euler Motors, emphasized the importance of commercial EVs in meeting diverse industry needs, including varying payloads, volumes, and range requirements. He noted that their research shows significant interest among retail and institutional customers in SCVs that offer high performance, long range, and advanced features. Euler Motors’ move into the SCV market aligns with its broader mission to accelerate electric vehicle adoption and promote sustainable urban mobility through innovations tailored to the Indian market.
