ETS-Lindgren, a global leader in antenna measurement solutions, has collaborated with Rohde & Schwarz, a renowned provider of test and measurement equipment, to enhance antenna performance testing for 5G A-GNSS (Assisted Global Navigation Satellite System). This partnership combines the capabilities of the R&S CMX500 OBT wideband radio communication tester and the R&S SMBV100B GNSS simulator with ETS-Lindgren’s EMQuest software, offering comprehensive 5G NR A-GNSS testing capabilities.

5G NR (New Radio) utilizes location-based services, including A-GNSS, to provide faster and more accurate positioning information for various applications. This technology is crucial for cellular devices, and GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) plays a pivotal role in ensuring reliable signal reception and positioning accuracy.

The R&S CMX500 OBT is a versatile one-box tester that supports 5G, LTE, and Wi-Fi network emulation and features a location-based services server compatible with the R&S SMBV100B GNSS simulator.
