Epigral Limited, a prominent player in India’s specialty chemicals sector, has announced a significant expansion of its Wind-Solar Hybrid Power plant, increasing its capacity from 18.34 MW to 38.14 MW. This growth comes through a strategic collaboration with Prozeal Green Energy Ltd, which has led to the creation of a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) aimed at adding 19.80 MW to the plant’s existing capacity. As part of this initiative, Epigral will invest Rs 21.38 crore for a 26% stake in the SPV.

The partnership is formalized under a 25-year agreement, covering an Energy Subscription Agreement (ESA) and a Share Subscription and Shareholder Agreement (SSSHA), ensuring long-term sustainability and operational success. Epigral anticipates the expansion will be fully operational by the fourth quarter of FY26, a key milestone in supporting the company’s growing energy requirements for upcoming projects.

Maulik Patel, Chairman and Managing Director of Epigral Limited, shared his thoughts: “At Epigral, we remain dedicated to delivering premium products while safeguarding the environment. The addition of a Wind-Solar Hybrid Power plant exemplifies our proactive approach to sustainable energy as we continue our ambitious growth trajectory. This expansion will ensure that we meet our increasing energy needs, and we are grateful to Prozeal Green Energy Ltd. for their essential partnership in this journey.”

Epigral is also planning significant expansions in its core production areas, including increasing CPVC Resin capacity to 150,000 TPA (Tonnes Per Annum) and Epichlorohydrin (ECH) to 100,000 TPA. Additionally, the company recently inaugurated a new Chlorotoluene value chain plant at its Dahej facility, further enhancing its manufacturing capabilities and reinforcing its leadership in the specialty chemicals sector.

Founded in 2007, Epigral Limited (formerly Meghmani Finechem Ltd) is a leading integrated manufacturer of chemicals in India. The company’s state-of-the-art Dahej facility boasts advanced backward and forward integration, automation, and top-tier infrastructure. Epigral is the first Indian company to set up an Epichlorohydrin plant and has the largest CPVC production capacity in the country. Its product portfolio includes Caustic Soda, Caustic Potash, Chloromethanes, Hydrogen Peroxide, Chlorine, and Hydrogen.

The company continues to expand its reach within the specialty chemicals industry, with plans to boost capacity in CPVC and ECH, explore the Chlorotoluene value chain, and enhance its R&D efforts.
