Epic Energy and Niva Ecotech Join Forces to Develop 35 MWp Solar Park in Solapur

Epic Energy Limited, a leading player in the Solar EPC sector, has entered into a partnership with Niva Ecotech Pvt Ltd to jointly develop a 35 MWp (25 MW) Solar Park in the Solapur region of Maharashtra. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the expansion of India’s solar energy infrastructure. The agreement, involving Epic Energy’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Epic Renewable Projects Private Limited, represents the company’s first foray into solar park development.

“We are thrilled to partner with Niva on this project,” said Pranav Chhatre, Director of Epic Renewable Projects Private Limited. “Our objective is to reach a total installed capacity of 140 MWp (100 MW) within the next two years, beginning with this 35 MWp initiative in Solapur.”

Niva Ecotech, a well-established player in the solar park industry, brings considerable expertise to the collaboration. “Solapur is an ideal location for solar parks,” said Ajay Mundada, Director of Niva Ecotech Pvt Ltd. “We’ve successfully completed several projects in this region over the past three years, and our partnership with Epic will enable us to further expand India’s solar energy landscape.”

Nikhil Morsawala, CFO of Epic Energy, outlined the business model for the new venture. “We are in advanced discussions with several blue-chip companies to establish Solar Energy Plants for them under the Group Captive Open Access system at our planned Solapur Solar Park. Our goal is to help Corporate India reduce their carbon footprint, meet ESG targets, and significantly cut energy costs,” he explained. The partnership between Epic Energy and Niva Ecotech is expected to play a pivotal role in promoting renewable energy adoption in India, especially in Maharashtra.
