US-based digital transformation and product engineering firm EPAM has expanded its presence in India with the opening of a new office in Pune, marking its third office expansion in the country this year, following Bengaluru and Chennai. India is now EPAM’s second-largest delivery center globally.
EPAM entered the Indian market in 2015 through the acquisition of Alliance Global Services. Pune, one of the initial locations opened post-acquisition, has now grown significantly, housing over 2,000 employees. Srinivas Reddy, Managing Director at EPAM India, highlighted the collaborative nature of the new 30,000-square-foot facility, which features 200+ seats and a large lab. “Our policy is still hybrid,” Reddy added.
Located in Baner, Pune, this new facility will serve as an offshore development center (ODC) for EPAM’s clients. The city has seen rapid growth in the financial services sector, particularly in banking, payments, and insurance, making it a strategic location for EPAM’s business. “Pune’s talent pool and strong presence in BFSI have been key drivers in our growth here,” Reddy noted.
