EPACK Durable Limited (BSE: EPACK; NSE: EPACK) has received approval from the Government of Andhra Pradesh for a customized incentive package under the Mega Category of the Andhra Pradesh Electronics Manufacturing Policy (4.0) for proposed investments by the company and its wholly owned subsidiary, EPACK Manufacturing Technologies Private Limited (EMTPL). The approval covers a combined proposed investment of ₹1,084.31 crore, comprising ₹314.31 crore from EPACK Durable and ₹770 crore from EMTPL. The investments are aimed at expanding manufacturing capacity for room air conditioners, key components, small and large domestic appliances, washing machines, televisions, and other consumer durables in Andhra Pradesh.
As part of the approved package, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has allotted 36.41 acres of land to EPACK Durable at ₹60 lakh per acre for the establishment of a new manufacturing facility. The incentive structure includes a 50% capital subsidy on eligible fixed capital investment for the combined projects. It also extends benefits to qualifying investments already made by EPACK Durable and EMTPL in Sri City after November 2024, in line with policy provisions.
The proposed expansion builds on EPACK Durable’s existing manufacturing base in the consumer durables sector and is expected to strengthen its integrated production capabilities across multiple product categories. The company said the expansion will also support greater localization and efficiency across its supply chain.
Ajay DD Singhania, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of EPACK Durable Limited, said the approval marks a key milestone in the company’s long-term growth strategy. “The approval from the Government of Andhra Pradesh is an important step in our long-term manufacturing expansion plans,” Mr Singhania said. “Andhra Pradesh has emerged as a preferred destination for electronics manufacturing, supported by progressive policy frameworks and a strong industrial ecosystem.”
He added that the combined investment will significantly expand production capabilities. “The proposed investment will enable us to enhance our manufacturing capacity across room air conditioners, small and large domestic appliances, and components, while strengthening our existing operations in Sri City. This expansion is also expected to generate approximately 1,600 jobs in the state,” he said.
Mr Singhania noted that rising demand for consumer durables continues to drive the company’s capacity-building efforts. “We remain focused on strengthening our manufacturing footprint and supporting customers with improved scale, operational efficiency, and deeper localization,” he said. Incentives under the approved package will be disbursed in accordance with eligibility criteria defined under the Andhra Pradesh Electronics Manufacturing Policy (4.0) as project milestones are achieved and investments are implemented.
