This partnership seeks to optimize the process of producing e-methanol from green hydrogen and carbon dioxide, marking a notable stride forward in sustainable energy solutions.

Envision Energy and BASF are joining forces through a partnership that will see BASF’s state-of-the-art SYNSPIRE™ catalyst technology integrated into Envision Energy’s energy management system. This integration aims to optimize the conversion of green hydrogen and carbon dioxide into e-methanol. By leveraging Envision Energy’s EnOS AIoT operating system, this process package will synchronize with the availability of wind power.

Envision Energy, renowned for its expertise in renewable energy and hydrogen production, is dedicated to large-scale decarbonization efforts through green hydrogen solutions. Noteworthy is its green hydrogen project in Inner Mongolia, honored with the Energy Transition Changemaker Award at COP28, which seeks to revolutionize the green energy value chain.

This collaboration with BASF Process Catalysts marks a stride towards fully unlocking the potential of green hydrogen and carbon dioxide in e-methanol production. Scheduled demonstrations of this advanced process design are set to take place next year at Envision Energy’s Chifeng site in Inner Mongolia, China.
