Envision Energy India has finalized an agreement with Evren to provide around 152 units of the EN 156/3.3 MW turbine platform. These high-performance turbines, with 3.3 MW capacity, will be deployed across wind projects in Andhra Pradesh. Supported by the Brookfield Global Transition Fund (BGTF), Evren is rapidly growing its renewable energy footprint in India, aiming to develop over 10 GW of energy assets across solar, wind, and battery storage, focusing on regions like Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh.

Envision’s Smart Wind Turbines are designed with a 156-meter rotor diameter and a 140-meter hub height, perfectly suited for India’s wind conditions. This 3.3 MW turbine platform has a proven track record in thriving markets such as the MENA region, Southeast Asia, and China, and now has 2.5 GW in operation in India. The EN 156/3.3 MW turbines promise an enhanced annual energy output (AEP) with a low Levelized Cost of Energy (LCoE), making them a cost-effective choice for large-scale projects.

RPV Prasad, Managing Director of Envision Energy India, shared, “We’re excited to partner with Evren on this significant 501.6 MW order. It’s a major milestone for us as we help drive industrial decarbonization solutions at scale. Our commitment to being a trusted energy partner remains steadfast, focusing on quality and safety while delivering efficient energy solutions.”

Suman Kumar, CEO of Evren, commented, “This collaboration with Envision Energy India marks an important step in our journey to develop over 10 GW of renewable energy projects. Their proven track record and technological expertise further reinforce our confidence in this partnership. We are dedicated to advancing India’s energy transition and decarbonizing the sector.”

Evren, supported by the Brookfield Global Transition Fund (BGTF), is rapidly scaling its renewable energy initiatives across India. The company plans to develop over 10 GW of renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and energy storage, in key states such as Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh.

Envision Energy is a global leader in green technology, providing sustainable energy solutions for businesses, governments, and organizations worldwide. The company’s operations cover three major sectors—Smart Wind Turbines, Energy Storage, and Green Hydrogen Solutions. Envision also manages the Envision-Hongshan Carbon-Neutral Fund and owns the Envision Racing Formula E team, which won the 2023 Formula E Teams’ Championship.

Since its entry into India in 2016-17, Envision Energy has been focused on delivering high-performance wind turbines and battery energy storage solutions. With over 30 independent power producer (IPP) customers and a portfolio exceeding 16 GW, Envision operates across 60+ project sites in seven Indian states. The company has manufactured more than 4.5 GW and commissioned over 2.5 GW of wind energy in India.

Envision’s initial investment of INR 500 crore established a 3 GW/year manufacturing capacity for turbine blades in Trichy, along with a Nacelle and Hub Assembly facility in Pune, creating over 3,000 jobs. The company plans an additional INR 500 crore investment to expand its facilities, including a second blade plant in Gujarat and a Generator & Gearbox Plant in Maharashtra. Envision India continues to contribute to industrial decarbonization and supports its customers’ NetZero goals with battery energy storage solutions and an order book of around 1.5 GWh.
