A Make in India product, Enigma Café Racer will be manufactured at the company’s plant in Bhopal and Hyderabad. The EV Startup founded by Anmol Bohre and Alankrit Bohre in 2015, started their journey with their first electric three-wheeler MARUT.
Indian EV Startup Enigma Automobiles has introduced its first electric motorcycle named the Café Racer. Completely indigenous product, the Enigma Café Racer motorcycle comes with a wide range of colour options such as Earl Grey, RMS Red, Log Orange, Military Green and Thunder White. The lithium-ion battery is currently outsourced, but the company is working on a homegrown lithium-ion battery unit.
The Café Racer comes with a 5.6KW electric hub motor capable of a top speed of 136 km per hour. The motorcycle will be powered by a 72V 50Ah Lithium ferrous phosphate battery cell, which can last for about 5000 life cycles. It takes four hours for a full charge, while 0 to 80% charge can be done in three hours.
“The vintage-inspired machine will offer the convenience of a commuter combined with off-road capabilities in a simple and affordable package. Our electric Cafe Racer motorcycles are low in maintenance, high in power and are as simple as possible”, said Anmol Bohre, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Enigma Automobiles.
