Endress+Hauser has once again achieved Gold status in the EcoVadis sustainability assessment, placing it among the top 5% of the 150,000 rated companies worldwide. The rating evaluates businesses based on environmental impact, labor and human rights, and ethical standards. For Endress+Hauser, this recognition serves as both a benchmark for its sustainability performance and a trusted indicator for customers and suppliers seeking a responsible business partner.
“Our goal is to help customers operate more sustainably and efficiently, which means leading by example in our own business and production processes. Achieving Gold status underscores our commitment to being a trusted advisor and proves we are making meaningful progress,” said Dr. Peter Selders, CEO of Endress+Hauser Group.
Endress+Hauser improved its sustainability performance across all key areas, increasing its score from 71 to 78 despite EcoVadis tightening its assessment criteria. The company received particularly high marks for its environmental initiatives and labor practices. “We are proud of this achievement, especially given the more rigorous evaluation standards,” noted Julia Schempp, Head of Corporate Sustainability at Endress+Hauser.
EcoVadis requires all sustainability measures to be supported by verifiable evidence, ensuring a transparent and accountable rating system. Endress+Hauser’s structured approach to documentation and reporting, including workplace safety guidelines and hazardous materials management, played a key role in securing the Gold status.
The Endress+Hauser Group has set ambitious targets, committing to net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, in alignment with the Paris Agreement’s goal of limiting global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
“Sustainability is a personal priority for me,” added Peter Selders. “We have a responsibility to protect the climate and environment for future generations. Our children should inherit a world with the same quality of life we enjoy today. As a company, we have the power to drive positive change while maintaining business success.”
