Thomas Buer will take over as the new managing director of Endress+Hauser Liquid Analysis on October 1, 2024. He succeeds Dr. Manfred Jagiella, who is retiring at the end of September after 17 years in the role.
Dr. Manfred Jagiella joined Endress+Hauser in 2007 and has significantly grown the liquid analysis division. Under his leadership, the number of employees tripled to over 1,300, and the company’s turnover increased. The division won various innovation prizes and awards, including being recognized as one of the best employers in Germany and worldwide. Dr. Jagiella has also been a valued member of the Endress+Hauser Group’s Executive Board since 2016. He will turn 65 in September and is retiring.
Dr. Peter Selders, CEO of the Endress+Hauser Group, praised Dr. Jagiella’s contributions, stating, “Dr. Jagiella has played a key role in making Endress+Hauser a leading provider of liquid analysis. We thank him for his dedicated service and wish him all the best in his retirement.”
Thomas Buer joins from Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions. The 55-year-old has a background in mechanical and process engineering and extensive international experience in the water and environmental technology sectors. He has held professional roles in Germany, Canada, the USA, and France, managing global business units and driving innovative technologies.
Dr. Andreas Mayr, COO of the Endress+Hauser Group, expressed confidence in Buer, saying, “His broad expertise and international experience will help further develop Endress+Hauser Liquid Analysis.” Buer will start at Endress+Hauser on August 1, 2024, to ensure a smooth transition. Dr. Jagiella’s responsibilities on the Executive Board will be assumed by other members from October.
