Emmvee Group to Invest ₹15,000 Crore in Bengaluru Manufacturing Facility

The Karnataka government has officially kicked off the rollout of projects worth over ₹10 lakh crore, secured during the recent Global Investors’ Meet 2025 in Bengaluru. Emvee Energy, a leading manufacturer of solar photovoltaic panels and modules, has committed to investing ₹15,000 crore in a phased manner to establish a new manufacturing plant in the state. Senior officials from Emvee Energy met with M.B. Patil, the Minister for Large and Medium Industries, on February 20 to discuss the project.

As part of the initial phase, Emvee will invest ₹5,000 crore to develop a facility with a 5 GW power generation capacity, which is expected to create around 10,000 jobs. The company has requested 120 acres of land in the Bengaluru IT Investment Region (ITIR) for the plant, and the government is considering this request.

Emvee Energy, which produces key components for solar power generation such as aluminium frames, glass, and wafers, aims to contribute to sustainable development through green energy production. The Minister emphasized that the new facility will significantly support the state’s green energy goals.

Earlier, Minister Patil also attended the groundbreaking ceremony of Krones’ ₹315 crore manufacturing plant in Vemagal, another major investment arising from the Global Investors’ Meet.
