Elista, one of India’s rapidly expanding consumer electronics brands under the Dubai-based TeknoDome Group, has inaugurated its modern manufacturing facility in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. Spread across 1.32 lakh sq ft, the new plant is fully operational and represents a significant step in shifting from imports to self-reliant, high-tech electronics production. Developed with a phased investment of ₹250 crore, the facility marks an important milestone in building world-class manufacturing capabilities within India.
The launch was marked by the dispatch of Elista’s first export shipment — 650 premium Smart TVs ranging from 43 to 85 inches, valued at ₹2.55 crore (USD 300,000), exported to Dubai under the India–Dubai Free Trade Agreement. In its first phase, the plant is equipped to produce up to 1 million Smart TVs and 1 million LED monitors annually, with future expansion into washing machines, dishwashers, and smart accessories. Currently employing over 200 skilled professionals, the workforce will expand as production scales up.
Commenting on the milestone, Saket Gaurav, Chairman & Managing Director of Elista, said the Kadapa facility symbolizes a defining moment in the company’s journey. “In just four years, we have transitioned from being a challenger brand to creating products that rival the best in the world — and now, we are building them in India. This facility represents our vision for Make in India, showcasing that India can deliver premium electronics faster, better, and more cost-effectively to international markets,” he added.
Strategically located near Chennai and Visakhapatnam ports, the Kadapa plant gives Elista a logistics edge, reducing shipping times to Dubai to just five days while lowering costs compared to conventional OEM hubs. The facility features automated assembly lines, robotic systems, advanced quality checks, and eco-conscious measures like rainwater harvesting, solar integration, and ESD-safe zones — reflecting Elista’s focus on precision, sustainability, and efficiency.
The new plant will act as a launchpad for products under the theme ‘Making in India for the World.’ One such innovation is a localized Smart TV interface that recommends regional apps and content based on a user’s location, blending advanced technology with India’s cultural diversity. By doing so, Elista aims to create highly personalized viewing experiences while also reinforcing India’s growing reputation for innovation in consumer electronics.
Looking ahead, Elista plans to establish more such advanced facilities across India to scale domestic manufacturing, accelerate new product launches, and enhance exports. With this expansion, the company is set to strengthen its position as both a domestic leader and a rising global brand.
Since its inception in 2020 under TeknoDome Group, Elista has expanded its presence to 20,000+ retail outlets, 650+ distributors, and 600+ service centers in India, while also making inroads into 18+ global markets, including the UAE, Africa, CIS, and Asia. With the Kadapa facility acting as a catalyst, the company is targeting ₹1,000 crore in domestic revenue within five years and a global turnover of ₹5,000 crore by 2028.
Elista, established in 2020, is a consumer electronics and home appliances brand aligned with India’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ mission.
