Electromech Infraprojects has announced its entry into India’s growing semiconductor infrastructure sector, expanding its engineering and project delivery capabilities into an important new area of the country’s industrial development. The company will use its experience in data centres, industrial projects and mission-critical infrastructure to support the specialised infrastructure needs of semiconductor manufacturing facilities. Its focus will include semiconductor fabs, OSAT, ATMP and other electronics manufacturing facilities.

India is working to build a stronger domestic semiconductor ecosystem, creating new opportunities across chip manufacturing, assembly, testing, packaging and electronics production. These facilities require highly specialised infrastructure, reliable utilities and carefully integrated engineering systems to maintain the operating conditions required for semiconductor production.

Electromech Infraprojects plans to bring its existing capabilities in mission-critical and high-reliability infrastructure to the semiconductor sector. The company offers expertise in integrated MEP engineering, critical power systems, precision HVAC, utilities, project management, testing and commissioning. At the same time, Electromech will continue to build specialised capabilities to meet the specific requirements of semiconductor manufacturing facilities.

Varun Maniar, Managing Director, Electromech Infraprojects, said, “India’s semiconductor opportunity is not limited to building fabs and assembly facilities. It is also about creating the right infrastructure ecosystem to support these facilities at global standards. Semiconductor facilities require a high level of precision in power quality, thermal management, environmental control and integrated engineering.”

“Our experience in mission-critical and high-reliability environments gives us a strong foundation. At the same time, we understand that the semiconductor sector requires specialised knowledge and capabilities. India has an opportunity to build strong infrastructure expertise alongside manufacturing capacity,” he added.

Electromech Infraprojects has completed more than 600 projects across industrial, manufacturing, logistics, commercial and mission-critical sectors. The company has also contributed to infrastructure supporting more than 350 MW of IT load. Its project delivery approach includes BIM-led design coordination, Design for Manufacturing and Assembly, prefabrication, modular construction and digital project tracking. The company also has a manufacturing footprint of more than two lakh square feet across Mumbai and Hyderabad, supporting coordination between engineering, manufacturing and on-site execution.
