Uttar Pradesh Transport Minister Shri Daya Shankar Singh and politician Smt. Smriti Irani visited the Khalsa E-Vehicles Pvt. Ltd booth at the 21st EV Expo 2024 in Delhi on Saturday. The company showcased its latest range of commercial electric vehicles, including the newly launched three-wheeler ‘Luka’.
Shri Daya Shankar Singh emphasized the urgency of transitioning to electric vehicles to combat growing pollution levels. “Given the increasing pollution crisis, the adoption of eco-friendly alternatives like electric vehicles is critical and cannot be delayed,” he stated.
Smt. Smriti Irani, also visiting the Khalsa EV booth, praised the launch of the ‘Luka’ (Model L5), an electric vehicle powered by a high-speed lithium-ion battery offering a 200 km range. She highlighted the significance of such products in improving livelihoods and applauded Khalsa EV’s contribution to India’s shift towards sustainable mobility. She also commended the efforts of Narang Brothers and the team behind the company’s innovations.
Khalsa E-Vehicles, based in Muzaffarnagar, is a leading manufacturer of commercial electric vehicles under the leadership of Shivam Narang, Managing Director, and Satyam Narang, CEO. The event marked the introduction of the ‘Luka’ L5 three-wheeler, which is equipped with advanced technology and boasts features such as an 11.77 KW battery, 40 NM peak torque, a top speed of 44 km/h, and a five-year warranty on its lithium-ion batteries. The vehicle supports fast charging in 4-5 hours and includes an automatic gearbox for ease of use.
Shivam Narang expressed his gratitude for the support from key dignitaries at the event, while Satyam Narang reiterated the company’s commitment to producing sustainable, eco-friendly vehicles that contribute to a greener future.
