EKA Mobility Awarded Contract for 750 Electric Buses in Andhra Pradesh

EKA Mobility has been awarded a contract to supply and deploy 750 electric buses across 11 cities in Andhra Pradesh. The project will be executed in partnership with GreenCell Mobility, a company focused on sustainable transport solutions in India.

The order includes 129 nine-meter and 621 twelve-meter fully electric buses. These vehicles will be introduced in Amravati, Anantapur, Kadapa, Kakinada, Kurnool, Rajahmundry, Nellore, Guntur, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, and Tirupati.

The award follows a Letter of Confirmation of Quantity (LOCQ) issued by Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) and comes shortly after a similar contract for 675 electric buses in Rajasthan. This latest development further strengthens EKA Mobility’s public transport portfolio. The company recently secured contracts valued at approximately ₹150 crore from the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) and around ₹400 crore from the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC).
