EESL Calls for Project Bids Across Maharashtra

Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has announced a bidding opportunity for the design, engineering, supply, construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and operation of 70 MW solar power projects in Maharashtra. This contract includes comprehensive maintenance for a duration of 12 years.

The projects are divided into three lots: Lot 1 (30 MW), Lot 2 (20 MW), and Lot 3 (20 MW). The deadline for bid submissions is September 20, 2024. To qualify for bidding, contractors must have experience as an EPC contractor, joint venture partner, or subcontractor in at least one similar-sized and natured EPC contract completed within the last seven years.

The value of the executed projects must be at least ₹1.36 billion (approximately $17 million) for Lot 1, ₹910 million (around $11 million) for Lot 2, and ₹910 million (about $11 million) for Lot 3. Alternatively, bidders may qualify by demonstrating participation in two contracts with a minimum value of ₹850 million (about $11 million) for Lot 1.

₹570 million (around $7 million) for Lot 2, and ₹570 million (about $7 million) for Lot 3, or by participating in three contracts with a minimum value of ₹680 million (approximately $9 million) for Lot 1, ₹450 million (about $6 million) for Lot 2, and ₹450 million (around $6 million) for Lot 3.

Eligible bidders must be manufacturers of solar modules or grid-tie solar inverters, developers of solar PV power plants, or system integrators of solar PV systems. They must have a positive net worth for the last fiscal year and an average annual turnover of at least ₹2.54 billion (around $32 million) for Lot 1, ₹1.69 billion (approximately $21 million) for Lot 2, and ₹1.69 billion (about $21 million) for Lot 3.

Bidders must also demonstrate that their financial resources meet or exceed the requirements of ₹500.4 million (around $5.96 million) for Lot 1, ₹330.8 million (about $3.94 million) for Lot 2, and ₹330.8 million (approximately $3.94 million) for Lot 3. Previously, EESL had invited bids for the supply of 28.72 MW of polycrystalline solar modules with an output of 330 W and above for solar projects in Maharashtra.
