DMG MORI will showcase the next phase of modern manufacturing at its Open House 2026 in Pfronten, where advanced 5-axis machining, scalable automation, and fully integrated production processes will be presented through live demonstrations and practical applications. The event will take place from January 26 to 30, 2026, for visitors from the D-A-CH region, followed by an international Open House from February 2 to 6, 2026.
Over the two-week program, manufacturing professionals from across the globe will experience solution-oriented machine concepts designed to address the needs of companies ranging from small and medium-sized enterprises to large industrial manufacturers. The Open House will focus on application-specific manufacturing solutions for industries such as aviation and aerospace, data and semiconductor production, and die and mold manufacturing.
DMG MORI’s approach is centered on making high-performance manufacturing more accessible by reducing complexity through holistic system design. Cornelius Nöß, Chief Managing Director of DMG MORI Pfronten, emphasized that by combining future-ready machining technologies with integrated processes, flexible automation, digital solutions, and reliable service across the entire machine lifecycle, modern production can be efficient, robust, and economically viable, particularly for small and mid-sized manufacturers.
A key milestone of the Open House will be the inauguration of a new 4,500 square meter training center at the Pfronten site. The facility reflects DMG MORI’s long-term commitment to workforce development and skills training, providing a modern learning environment for the next generation of manufacturing professionals. In addition, the event program will include technology seminars focused on Machining Transformation (MX) and the associated manufacturing solutions shaping the future of industrial production.
During the Open House, DMG MORI will present more than 40 machines and over 20 automation solutions across a 4,500 square meter exhibition area, offering a comprehensive view of its technology portfolio. Among the highlights will be three world premieres: the CTX 450 4A in the field of universal turning, the second-generation DMU 65 H monoBLOCK as a 5-axis horizontal machining center, and the LASERTEC 65 DED hybrid, representing the latest advancement in additive manufacturing using powder nozzle technology. In the automation segment, DMG MORI will introduce the third generation of Robo2Go, further expanding options for flexible and scalable automation.
The solutions on display underline DMG MORI’s strategic focus on advanced 5-axis technologies and fully integrated automation as key enablers for long-term competitiveness in global markets. The machine and automation portfolio supports a wide range of production scenarios, from single-part manufacturing to large-scale series production, while ensuring high productivity, process reliability, and consistent quality.
Visitors will see flexible 5-axis machines, powerful turn-mill solutions for complete six-sided machining, additive manufacturing on LASERTEC DED and SLM platforms, ULTRASONIC machining, and multi-process grinding solutions from the Vertical Mate series. A dedicated automation area will demonstrate autonomous mobile robots managing pallets, materials, tools, and chip handling, illustrating how entire shop-floor workflows can be organized with minimal human intervention.
Machining Transformation (MX) forms the technological foundation for DMG MORI’s vision of future manufacturing. By integrating multiple process steps into a single setup, enabling flexible automation, and digitizing workflows from work preparation and NC programming to quality assurance, manufacturers can achieve shorter setup and cycle times, higher precision, and improved resource efficiency.
This approach also contributes significantly to Green Transformation (GX), as sustainable manufacturing increasingly becomes a decisive competitive factor. Alongside technology innovation, DMG MORI continues to invest in people, with the new training center in Pfronten preparing around 150 apprentices, trainees, and dual-study students for the demands of Industry 4.0, ensuring that future generations are equipped to drive digitalization, sustainability, and innovation in manufacturing.
