Dixon Technologies, a leading electronics manufacturing services provider, announced that its fully-owned subsidiary, Padget Electronics Pvt Ltd, will begin mass production of Google Pixel smartphones at its Noida facility. This development comes through a collaboration with Compal Smart Device India Pvt Ltd, a partner for Google Information Services India Pvt Ltd.
Earlier this year, Padget Electronics signed a contract manufacturing agreement with Compal on February 23 to produce mobile devices for Compal’s clients, including Google. The production will take place at Padget Electronics’ state-of-the-art Noida plant, further strengthening India’s position as a global manufacturing hub.
Compal, a global leader in manufacturing PCs, smart devices, data center equipment, and LCD products, aims to significantly enhance its value addition in the mobile phone segment. The company plans to increase its value addition from the current 17-18% to 35-36% over the next two to three years.
Dixon Technologies is targeting revenue of ₹35,000-40,000 crore for FY25. Saurabh Gupta, CFO of Dixon Technologies, stated, “We achieved approximately ₹18,600 crore in revenue during the first half of the fiscal year. The second half is expected to perform even better, driven by strong customer ramp-ups in Q2 (July-September).”
Looking ahead to 2025-26, Dixon aims to diversify its revenue streams. The mobile segment’s contribution, currently around 70%, is expected to reduce to 60-65%, as momentum grows in telecom and IT hardware segments.
