DhanukaAgritech announced that it has signed an agreement with Bayer AG to acquire worldwide rights for two of its key fungicides, Iprovalicarb and Triadimenol. This move is aimed at strengthening Dhanuka’s presence in more than 20 countries across Latin America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, including India.
The acquisition also includes Bayer’s Melody brand and its associated sub-brands for Iprovalicarb, along with manufacturing and distribution rights. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Dhanuka plans to manufacture at least one of the acquired products at its Dahej facility in Gujarat, according to a company statement. Iprovalicarb is widely used to control diseases in horticulture crops, while Triadimenol is utilized primarily for seed treatments in cereals, cotton, and coffee crops.
