In a move that strengthens Indo-Japanese industrial relations, DENSO Corporation, a global leader in automotive technology, has announced an investment of ₹250 crore to establish a Motor Generators manufacturing plant in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. These components are essential for hybrid and electric vehicles, reaffirming DENSO’s commitment to sustainable mobility and clean technology.
The announcement follows strategic discussions between DENSO leadership and the Uttar Pradesh delegation, led by Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary (Infrastructure & Industrial Development), along with senior officials from Invest UP, at DENSO’s global headquarters in Kariya, Aichi, Japan. During their visit, the delegation also held in-depth talks with Japanese companies and government representatives, including KIDA Kaoru (Vice-Chairperson) and KINJO Katsunori (Chairperson) of the Osaka Prefectural Assembly.
As part of the visit, discussions centered on industrial partnerships, technology exchange, and youth upskilling, all of which highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s growing prominence as a hub for skilled labor and innovation. Invest UP’s Pavilion at the upcoming World Expo 2025 in Osaka will continue to attract global attention, showcasing Uttar Pradesh’s world-class infrastructure, pro-business policies, and its rapidly developing electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem.
This milestone marks a significant step toward making Uttar Pradesh India’s leading center for green investments and sets the stage for further strengthening Indo-Japanese economic ties. With this new plant, DENSO further solidifies its role in India’s growing EV sector, contributing to the country’s sustainable future.
