Delta, a leading provider of power management and IoT-based green solutions, has officially opened its new India headquarters and Global Research & Development Centre in Bengaluru, earning LEED Gold certification for sustainability.
Situated in the Bommasandra Industrial Area, the 61,000-square-meter facility has space for up to 3,000 employees across management, R&D, and engineering departments. Delta also plans to recruit up to 750 R&D engineers over the next three years to strengthen its focus on developing advanced solutions in power management, IoT, and AI for the Indian market.
At the inauguration, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar praised it’s role in advancing the state’s tech and industrial sectors. Sharath Kumar B, Chairman of KEONICS, noted the importance of it’s new facility in furthering Karnataka’s innovation leadership.
Delta India President Benjamin Lin described the new headquarters and R&D centre as a significant investment, aligning with the company’s strategy of fostering local innovation to serve global customers. Niranjan Nayak, Managing Director of Delta Electronics India, highlighted how the facility will support the company’s growth, especially in power electronics and sustainable technologies.
The new building includes a 480-square-meter showroom featuring Delta’s green IoT solutions. Sustainability features include a 593kW solar PV system, a 300kW data centre with a power usage effectiveness (PUE) of 1.4, and energy-saving systems such as a 100kW PV inverter and 82 variable frequency drives for HVAC optimization. Security is enhanced by fixed dome cameras from its subsidiary VIVOTEK.
