DCM Shriram Ltd and Aarti Industries Ltd (AIL) have entered into a long-term strategic agreement for chlorine supply. Under this partnership, DCM Shriram Chemicals will act as the exclusive supplier of chlorine from its chlor-alkali facility at Jhagadia, Gujarat, to AIL’s upcoming downstream chemical complex in the same industrial zone.
A dedicated jacketed underground chlorine pipeline will be constructed between the two plants, incorporating advanced engineering standards to ensure safety, reliability, and environmental protection. Once operational, AIL will source an additional 200 tonnes of chlorine per day, in addition to the 150 tonnes per day already procured from DCM Shriram.
Commenting on the collaboration, Sabaleel Nandy, ED & CEO, DCM Shriram Chemicals, said the agreement reinforces mutual trust and enhances indirect chlorine integration, strengthening the company’s leadership in safe and sustainable chemical manufacturing.
