Dassault Systèmes, the global leader in Virtual Twin Experiences, has introduced a new frontier in product design and manufacturing with the launch of 3D UNIV+RSES powered by the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. This new development, in collaboration with Apple, integrates the Apple Vision Pro to deliver spatial computing capabilities, offering an entirely new way to experience virtual twins. The breakthrough will be available through the “3DLive” app, launching this summer on visionOS.

This partnership between Dassault Systèmes and Apple merges cutting-edge technology to create a unique experience where virtual models, or virtual twins, can be brought into real-world environments. Thanks to the advanced cameras, sensors, and tracking capabilities of the Apple Vision Pro, users can interact with virtual twins with remarkable accuracy in three-dimensional space.

With 3DLive, users will be able to visualize and collaborate with virtual twins in real-time, enhancing the modeling, simulation, manufacturing, training, and operational processes across various industries. This technology allows companies to rapidly adapt to market demands, ensure product quality, and accelerate workforce training in a way that wasn’t possible before.

Elisa Prisner, Executive Vice President at Dassault Systèmes, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, stating, “Our engineering collaboration with Apple represents a bold step forward, showcasing the potential of 3D UNIV+RSES. It enables a seamless integration of real and virtual worlds, delivering exceptional value for our customers, particularly in developing AI-driven, next-generation experiences.”

Mike Rockwell, Apple’s Vice President of the Vision Products Group, added, “Apple Vision Pro is reshaping spatial computing and transforming how industries work. We are excited to work with DassaultSystèmes to enhance the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, helping engineers and designers bring 3D designs to life in ways that were never before possible.”

Starting this summer, enterprise customers will be able to access this new spatial computing experience through the 3DLive app for Apple Vision Pro. In addition, Dassault Systèmes is launching another Apple Vision Pro app, HomeByMe Reality, which allows users to visualize home interiors and explore furniture and real estate options from the comfort of their homes, furniture stores, or showrooms.

This announcement was made at Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE Forum in Houston, highlighting the company’s ongoing commitment to driving innovation in industries across North America. Since its founding in 1981, Dassault Systèmes has led the way in creating virtual worlds to improve real life, enabling over 350,000 customers to collaborate and drive sustainable innovations.
