The new production unit in Pune aims to scale up the ‘Make In India’ vision and help the company to cater to the local Market with its state-of-art Hydrostatic Transmission, which will enable energy-efficient solutions to achieve sustainability goals.
Danfoss India, a subsidiary of Denmark-based Danfoss Group has inaugurated its new Hydrostatic Production line in Pune. With a new production unit in India’s leading manufacturing hub, the company aims to fulfil the local market demand, especially from the agricultural sector. Organized adhering to strict COVID norms, the inauguration ceremony was graced with the presence of Eric Alstrom, President, Danfoss Power Solutions, Astrid Mozes, President of the Hydrostatic division, and the rest of the leadership team from Headquarters.
“We are the first-ever organization to have the manufacturing capability of Hydrostatics Transmission Solutions in India. This is aimed to scale up our ‘Make In India’ commitment and extend our market presence to the local market, chiefly across the agriculture sector,” stated Danfoss officials at the inauguration event.
Danfoss’s Hydrostatic transmissions come as an all-in-one which contains the variable displacement radial ball piston hydraulic pump, a fixed displacement radial ball piston hydraulic motor, and a full valve system. These packages have integrated aluminum cooling fans and a ball piston design that is less sensitive to overheating. This makes them capable to deliver precise, reliable, and responsive single-lever control, even in harsh applications.
Danfoss is the Denmark-based manufacturer of mobile hydraulics for the construction, agriculture, and other off-highway vehicle markets. The company has previously acquired Eaton’s Hydraulic’s business which has helped Danfoss to establish itself as a global leader in mobile and industrial hydraulics.The new plant will further augment the company’s offerings which are competent in delivering reliable and responsive single-lever control, even in harsh applications.
