Daikin India Inaugurates Third R&D Centre in Neemrana, Rajasthan

Daikin India announced the opening of its third research and development (R&D) centre in the country, located in Neemrana, Rajasthan. Built over six acres with an investment of ₹500 crore, the new facility will cater to both domestic and international markets, according to an official release.

The centre is set to employ over 500 engineers and will feature 22 advanced testing laboratories designed for developing comprehensive HVACR (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration) solutions. It aims to enhance Daikin’s manufacturing capabilities and support the growing export demand globally.

Naofumi Takenaka, President and Chief Operating Officer of Daikin Industries, stated, “At Daikin, we are committed to continuous innovation. This R&D centre will allow us to channel our efforts into creating technologically advanced and sustainable products. India is a vital market for us, and this investment is focused on developing solutions tailored to both local and international needs.”

K J Jawa, Chairman and Managing Director of Daikin India, added, “With a total investment of ₹2,800 crore to date in building world-class infrastructure across India, this new R&D centre marks a major milestone in our journey. It underscores our long-term commitment to the country and reinforces Daikin’s position as a leader in innovation, technology, and engineering within the Indian HVACR industry.”

The company is a leading air conditioning and refrigeration solutions provider and a subsidiary of the Japanese multinational, Daikin Industries Ltd. Established in India in 2000, the company has grown significantly, offering a wide range of air conditioning products for residential, commercial, and industrial use.
