Navitas Semiconductor Corporation (Nasdaq: NVTS), a global leader in GaNFast™ gallium nitride (GaN) and GeneSiC™ silicon carbide (SiC) power devices, has entered into a long-term strategic collaboration with Cyient Semiconductors Private Limited, a rapidly growing provider of ASIC, ASSP, and power solutions. The partnership aims to accelerate the use of GaN technology in India and establish a comprehensive, end-to-end GaN ecosystem.

As part of this initiative, the two companies plan to jointly create GaN products, mixed-signal and digital ICs, GaN-powered system modules, and design-enablement platforms targeted at India’s high-voltage and high-power domains. These include AI data centers, electric mobility, high-performance computing, energy infrastructure, and industrial electrification. The collaboration is also aligned with the Government of India’s “Make in India” mission, with a strong emphasis on building local manufacturing capacity and strengthening domestic supply chains.

Navitas and Cyient Semiconductors intend to leverage advanced IC technologies to speed up solutions for high-voltage and high-power applications. The roadmap includes both enhancements to Navitas’ existing GaN portfolio and the development of new devices tailored to India’s unique requirements. Cyient Semiconductors’ focus on building a secure, local GaN supply network is expected to significantly shorten development timelines for OEMs and engineering teams across the country.

Suman Narayan, CEO of Cyient Semiconductors, commented, “This partnership marks a major milestone in India’s semiconductor journey, particularly in addressing the challenges of high-voltage power delivery. By combining Navitas’ established GaN expertise with Cyient Semi’s design, manufacturing, and supply-chain capabilities, we are creating a self-reliant ecosystem that can speed up GaN adoption. Our vision is to make GaN technology accessible to every OEM designing, building, and scaling solutions from India.”

Chris Allexandre, President and CEO of Navitas, added, “I’m confident that India’s adoption of GaN will outpace global trends, and Cyient Semiconductors is the ideal partner to champion this transformation. Together, we will help realize India’s vision of innovation built in India, for India—and for the world.”

This collaboration will equip Indian OEMs and design houses with locally sourced GaN components and manufacturing support, enabling faster product cycles and lowering the barriers to adopting advanced power technologies. It also reinforces Cyient Semiconductors’ mission to expand semiconductor innovation, localization, and scalability across critical technology domains. The partnership creates a direct pathway for Indian customers to access GaN technologies, supported by dependable procurement channels, engineering cooperation, and technical expertise.
