Cyient DLM Limited, a provider of integrated electronics manufacturing solutions, has secured a long-term contract with Honeywell Aerospace Technologies to develop liquid cooling loops for aircraft cooling systems. This 16-year collaboration, announced on November 6, 2024, will support Honeywell’s innovative Micro Vapor Cycle System (Micro VCS) technology.
“Cyient DLM has signed a 16-year agreement to develop liquid cooling loops for applications within the Micro VCS, which is set to revolutionize cabin temperature control,” said the company. Designed with sustainability and efficiency in mind, the Micro VCS represents a substantial advancement in aircraft technology. This cutting-edge system, the first of its kind, is up to 35% lighter and 20% more efficient than other systems with similar cooling capacity, according to Cyient DLM’s statement.
The Micro VCS technology offers substantial improvements in cabin temperature management, boasting up to 35% less weight and 20% greater efficiency than comparable cooling systems. This development is being heralded as a breakthrough in sustainable aviation.
