Continental Tires, a leading premium tire manufacturer, has unveiled its highly anticipated CrossContact H/T (Highway/Terrain) in India, catering to the diverse needs of both on-road and off-road driving. Crafted with precision at the ModiPuram plant, this robust and durable tire is specially designed for Indian road conditions.
The CrossContact H/T offers versatility with a range of sizes, accommodating rim sizes from 15 inches to 18 inches in diameter, ensuring a perfect fit for various passenger vehicles. While select variants are currently available in India, the complete portfolio is set to hit the market in the coming months.
Samir Gupta, Managing Director of Continental Tires India and Head of Central Region BA RE APAC, expressed his excitement about the CrossContact H/T’s introduction to the Indian market. He highlighted its multipurpose tread pattern, low road noise, improved tread life, and its ability to cater to the diverse terrain found across India, ensuring a safe and comfortable ride for Indian drivers.
The CrossContact H/T boasts a multi-purpose tread pattern, making it suitable for daily driving challenges and mild off-road terrains. To enhance off-road capabilities, engineers have incorporated “grip teeth” in the tread grooves for added traction on non-asphalt tracks. The tire’s strong and durable shoulder design helps prevent damage from stones and debris.
In addition to its off-road prowess, the CrossContact H/T offers a high level of ride comfort. Its special tread design reduces noise levels both inside and outside the vehicle by approximately 10 percent compared to its predecessor, making it an excellent choice for long journeys.
