Conmat Group, based in Vadodara, Gujarat, has successfully acquired 100% ownership of KYB Conmat Private Limited, a leading manufacturer of concrete construction equipment such as batching plants, paving machines, transit mixers, concrete pumps, and self-loading mixers. The acquisition was finalized following the signing of a Share Purchase Agreement and was completed on January 6, 2025.
Previously a joint venture, KYB Conmat Private Limited was formed in 2013 when KYB Corporation of Japan took a 51% stake in Conmat Systems Pvt. Ltd. The venture focused on producing transit mixers in India using KYB’s technology. Under the new arrangement, KYB has provided a non-exclusive license for the continued use of its transit mixer technology.
With the Indian transit mixer market shifting towards higher capacity equipment and a growing demand for advanced construction machinery suited to local conditions, Conmat Group has decided to invest in the acquisition to leverage its design and development capabilities for manufacturing larger, more sophisticated machines.
